We were asked by the European Snacks Association to video their biennial SNACKEX conference and Trade Show in Sweden last month (June 2013), with the intention of producing an event video to help maximise the events audience potential.
We had previously been asked by them to help promote the event by producing a series of audio and video interviews with some of the exhibitors and presenters which we hosted on a landing page for them. This can be a great way to help raise awareness, drive traffic and raise interest for the event – a task video and audio can achieve with relative ease.
These interviews and podcasts were accessible from the SNACKEX information website and registration page. The idea was that people of thinking of attending the event or planning which conference presentations to listen to or exhibitor stands to visit would be helped by hearing some of the presenters and exhibitors being interviewed. This would help make the event easier to navigate and improve conversion rates.
We had been asked to present at the conference on the impact of social media on brand management and then run a workshop on using social media.
The event video was designed as both a record of the event and to use as a promotional tool for their 2015 event.
When producing an event video it is important to get the feel of the event. Showcase the popularity of the event and the highlight of the event. Using video allows those that attended to revisit the event and those that were unable to, see what it was like and perhaps book to attend the next show. As you will see we captured video of the show floor and interviews with the organisers, exhibitors and presenters.
