Mayflower 400 DVD Documentary

In 2020 Focus produced a documentary for the 400 year anniversary of the Mayflower sailing to the New World.

The Mayflower400 DVD was the biggest project we have ever undertaken in the 18 years we have been producing audio and video content.

It took almost three years of research, planning, filming and editing.  The objective was to tell the backstory of the sailing of the Mayflower and Speedwell to America.  It resulted in over 150 hours of video shot over 18 months that was edited down to 6 hours on a triple DVD with over 40 hours of video resources available online for additional information and education.

During the filming we met many interesting people and visited many different places learning a lot more about the history of England and our shared heritage with America.  We undertook a number of tours of places associated with the story across England and in Leiden in Holland.  Some can be seen on the DVD and some in the resources.

Whilst we were filming we interviewed some of the volunteers at Little Woodham Living Village in Gosport, Hampshire.  Here's just one of the the fascinating a short interviews with the Blacksmith from the village:-
