We are really pleased to have been re-appointed to produce all Beaulieu National Motor Museum event videos for the 2018 season. We have been filming at Beaulieu for many years on a variety of projects.
Our first event of 2018 was the recent Simply Ford.
When we first arrived on the morning of the event we knew it was going to be popular as there were already long queues of Ford cars all the way from the main road to the car parks. So many people had arrived that they had to open the gates early. Within a short while the main arena and three of the parkland areas had filled up.
1,787 Fords were on show which was a 19% increase from last year of 1,500. The Fords on display represented a complete range from some of the earliest to the most modern models.
There was a special section devoted to Ford Escorts as this year is its 50th anniversary of them first appearing in the UK market. Every one of the six generations of the Escort was on display.
The combination of fine weather and the chance to visit the Motor Museum and enjoy the house, gardens and all the other attractions meant a great turnout.
The first prize in the People’s Choice Award fittingly went to a special 1979 Ford Escort RS2000, owned by Martin and Rita Lewis. Runner Up prizes went to Mark Hudd, for his Escort Mk1 van and Paul Ainsworth for his high-performance Mustang Shelby GT50.
