It’s always nice working with our regular clients and great fun doing some short notice filming. In this case it was the launch of the updated Top Gear exhibition at the Beaulieu National Motor Museum. The challenge was to film the opening exhibition and edit a 30 second teaser video on the day for use on social media. Once that was done, we would also edit a longer video to give a wider overview of the whole event.
Lord Montagu introduced the whole day brilliantly and was followed by Top Gear presenter, Chris Harris giving a captivating welcome and also the Stig…but he wasn’t quite as eloquent as Harris! Everyone was then treated to a guided walk around the exhibition. After this we were able to capture the whole event, including some in-car footage of Chris driving (and sliding!) the new Mercedes AMG C63 Coupe around the open show arena.
With the new presenters having created new vehicles and with more, surely, to come the Top Gear exhibition at Beaulieu has been transformed-whilst still referencing the previous trio of Clarkson, Hammond and May and their crazy machines.
This is Beaulieu’s take on the day:
The exciting demonstration followed the official opening by Chris, The Stig and Lord Montagu, before the first visitors were given a tour of the refreshed World of Top Gear on Friday July 14th. Chris Harris said: “It’s very exciting, seeing all these incredible cars in one place. It’s a privilege to have a home for all of the weird Frankenstein creations that we have on the show.’’
And this is what Rachael Goldstraw, Senior Marketing Manager at Beaulieu said about us:
“One of the reasons we like working with FocusBiz is their flexibility and ability to help us on short notice projects. With Chris Harris and The Stig confirming attendance at the launch of the new-look World of Top Gear, we decided to film the event for the PR, our website and social media. A quick call to FocusBiz and we were booked in, with Ian providing a quick 30 second edit whilst still on site. As always, great service.”
