Rediclaim is an EU-funded project which looks at regulation regarding claims on food packaging. We were brought on board to create a webinar and so began a busy week of travel and filming. This is one of many European Union-funded, food-related projects we have been involved with over the past decade.
We began on Monday 13th filming in Guildford, UK. A short drive to the University of Surrey to meet the Project Manager Dr. Charo Hodgkins, the Project Coordinator Professor Monique Raats, Workpackage 5 Leader Professor Heather Gage and Workpackage 2 Leader Professor Rosalind Malcolm.
Monique, Heather and Rosalind had all prepared sections for the webinar and we spent the afternoon capturing footage, ready to add the other people around Europe.
Wednesday 15th brought a very early morning to catch the 7 a.m. flight to Ljubljana, Slovenia. We were there to film Dr. Igor Pravst who is the Workpackage 4 Leader at The Slovenian Nutrition Institute (NUTRIS). After a stopover in Ljubljana, we returned back to London.
Travelling all over Europe may seem to be a costly and inefficient way of presenting this important information, but it actually saves a lot of money and travel. The webinar has around 300 people invited. To hire a venue and fly everyone to a single location to present would cost much more and remove people from their day-to-day work. With a filmed webinar, everyone is able to attend if they have an internet connection and be back to their work immediately afterwards.
All of these different filming locations were combined for the webinar on 6th April.
