On Location

LocationWe have a reputation for experience – especially on location. It’s amazing how important an experienced crew can be.  Our crew are all professional people who know how to anticipate the pitfalls you come across on any job.  And to know how to work around them if necessary.

For instance how to get all our kit on board from a small boat up to a container ship moored out in the channel?  (It was hauled up in a Hippo bag!)

Or how to cover the scene of a major terrorist incident where a building has been destroyed and there are ‘casualties’ buried in or on the rubble pile? (We had thirteen cameras on that job … and it was only an exercise!)

Or how to cover a series of public meetings, with some angry people strongly opposed to a Health Authority adding fluoride to the public water supply? The Chairman was Peter White, who being visually impaired, required help identifying questioners.  We provided him with an earpiece.  And we wore hard-hats!  No we didn’t – it was fine!

Our crew may be working alone or with a multi-camera unit.

The location could be an oil refinery or a tug, a theatre or a cathedral or  a mountainside.

We may have presenters who require autocue, make-up, wardrobe …

Sometimes we may employ a ‘Jimmy Jib’ to obtain unique and extraordinary angles.  Watch this demonstration video and see the capabilities of a Jib and the skills of our talented crew!
