Social computing has been described by
Forrester as the social structure in which
technology puts power in communities, not
institutions.
The web today is no longer static and largely
advertorial, but dynamic, interactive and more
useful. Sharing ideas and information in a light, flexible
framework enables dynamic collaboration between
individuals and teams, and it is this “usefulness” to
the business that this conference explores.
This conference presents new viewpoints and case
studies explaining the value, application and
(sometimes) the downside of social tools in a
business context. It looks beyond the “why” of
Enterprise 2.0 to explain the “how”, giving all
participants a true learning experience.
The conference is chaired by David Gurteen, founder
of the Gurteen Knowledge Community and himself
both a user and an advocate of these technologies. |
