Walport Maritime Training Films are part of Headland Media and provide training videos to the global shipping industry. We were asked to produce training films to support on-board training.

Due to the multinational nature of crews we needed to design and produce training videos that have impact but also easy to understand and fitted a wide range of cultures and education levels.

The films were shot on board ships while they were in port, and that meant we had to be prepared and available to shoot at short notice, and then to be finished in time for the vessel to sail! We also had to ensure own crew members’ Health and Safety, with ships being unloaded and loaded as we filmed!
