Animated videos are a very effective communication tool as they combine two forms of visual communication techniques – animation and video. Text, images and graphics can all be animated. The colour, size, shape, speed and even the direction of movement can all be creatively used to attract and maintain audience engagement. The elements can themselves be morphed in different ways so allowing a virtually unlimited number of permutations. And then there is the music. That again is a powerful tool that can be used to help establish or reinforce a mood or feeling.
We recently worked for Spitfire Marketing on one of their client projects. The challenge was to create a corporate promotional video for Optimhome to explain what value their company provided to prospective clients. The style chosen was a mixture of graphics and pictures which was created by Spitfire. These needed to be blended with footage of business people. Spitfire supplied us with the brief, the storyboard and graphic elements. We then worked with them to blend all the elements together and add the animation together with the music and special sound effects. We selected and supplied the voice-over artist and recorded them reading the script and matched that to the images and animations.
